S-309 - Field Service Representatives

GITI has an immediate need for a Field Support Representative. The candidate should be a former USMC NCO. This is a hands-on position; and, strong communication and teaching/training skills are required as well. The candidate will be responsible for training military operators and field technicians on all aspects of operating ground-based sensor equipment. The candidate must be capable of developing tactically sound operational employment plans with Marine operational field leadership. The successful candidate will also be responsible for over-seeing the fielding and installation of military checkpoint/sensor equipment in real world applications, and must therefore be willing to deploy overseas to semi-austere environments for up to six months a year. The standard work schedule is 10 HRS per day, 7 days per week. Responsibilities include: developing training plans, logistics plans, instruction manuals, and system performance reports; as well as providing subject matter expertise to a team of software and system engineers in order to optimize sensor system performance. The ideal candidate should have real world experience in defense operations involving screening and searching personnel. This position will involve manual labor in that the engineer will participate in the movement, set up, management, and tear down of checkpoint technology/hardware/supporting infrastructure. Candidates should have strong IT skills with PC systems. The equivalent skills of an A+ certification would be ideal, but an actual A+ is not required.

Requirements:

  • Military experience, USMC NCO/SNCO, in a combat-arms or IT related fields (Honorable Discharge). Former Sergeant or Staff Sergeant is ideal
  • Solid teaching, training, and leadership skills.
  • High School Diploma; some college preferred; A+ preferred but not required.
  • Experience with military documentation and reporting.
  • Have technical abilities/skills/intelligences in the range and scope to receive training on and become an expert on ground based checkpoint sensing devices with success in a short time (approximate 30 day period).
  • Must be able to obtain medical clearance to deploy overseas.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Diplomacy skills are paramount, and the ability to interact in a high stress environment with the USMC is a key requirement.
